Significant cost increasing events pertaining to Evapco’s North American business are currently unfolding due to supply chain shortages created by various issues. Price Increase Effective December 3, 2021
Effective December 3rd, 2021, EVAPCO, Inc. has implemented a price increase affecting our North American HVAC and Industrial Refrigeration markets. Though multiple products will be impacted by this change, the average increase is between 3% and 6% across the board. All freight rates in SPECTRUM will be increased up to Five Percent (5%) for shipments from the Taneytown, Greenup, Iowa and Madera plants. As the country begins to “open back up”, the ensuing demand has led to rapidly rising commodity prices. In the last few months, key commodities such as carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum have increased significantly. While we have delayed the onset of this higher-priced material, we must implement a price increase moving forward. Free Cooling Setup at Utah State
After struggling with maintenance issues in their open-loop cooling tower system, Utah State University decided to invest in a long-term solution. In the spring of 2019, USU began to explore free cooling options, including EVAPCO’s eco-Air V Dry Cooler, to combat winter operation challenges with their existing field-erected cooling towers. For assistance managing ice formation, heat exchanger maintenance, and water treatment, the University's facilities team contacted Midgley-Huber , the local EVAPCO sales representative in Salt Lake City. Shortly thereafter, Conrad Campos, Midgley-Huber Sales
