The REP Cooling Tower product line is an Advanced Technology design which uses induced draft counterflow technology-the most efficient in the industry and the best design for operation in a freezing climate. The single end inlet design, alternate steel capability and foot print match up ideally with crossflow layouts making the REP an excellent replacement tower while still offering the maintenance and operational advantages of the induced draft counterflow cooling tower. These features are described below:

Reduced Piping Costs

The REP features single inlet piping connections located on the end of the unit to better match piping layouts designed for a crossflow tower. Conventional doubleflow crossflow cooling towers require two water inlet connection per cell where the counterflow REP design requires only one inlet connection per cell. This single inlet design significantly reduces the expensive piping and piping support required with the crossflow design. The water distribution system is pressurized and self-balancing. Since field balancing is not required on the REP, the need for flow balancing valves required on a crossflow tower is eliminated, further reducing the cost of tower installation. The wide orifice nozzles with anti-sludge ring used in the REP water distribution system helps prevent clogging, reducing maintenance costs.
