The REP Cooling Tower product line is an Advanced Technology design which uses induced draft counterflow technology-the most efficient in the industry and the best design for operation in a freezing climate. The single end inlet design, alternate steel capability and foot print match up ideally with crossflow layouts making the REP an excellent replacement tower while still offering the maintenance and operational advantages of the induced draft counterflow cooling tower. These features are described below:


Alternate Steel Design

The REP cooling tower basin is designed with a special reinforced basin that allows two different supporting methods (see Option A and B). In Option A, the two units are supported by three steel "I" beams running the entire length of the units. In Option B, the two units are supported by two steel "I" beams running across the width of the units. Option B matches the typical crossflow supporting steel arrangement. This flexibility enables the REP units to sit on the existing structural steel for most replacement projects, thereby resulting in lower installation costs.
