The "Association of Ammonia Refrigeration (AAR)" is a voluntary organization engaged in promoting safe use of ammonia as refrigerant for industrial refrigeration applications both in food as well as in process industries. AAR propagates use of ammonia, which is a natural refrigerant through education, training, information, publications and standards. The members profile comprises of consultants, contractors, manufacturers, senior technical professionals and end users of various organizations engaged in the field of ammonia refrigeration. AAR is supported by many organizations in India and across the globe. As a part of its endeavor to spread knowledge and know about the latest advances in the industry, AAR organizes a one day Annual Conference with an Exhibition "ARCON" every year since 2014. The event aims at educating and creating more awareness in the food, beverage and process industries about safety, efficiency, challenges and latest developments in ammonia refrigeration products and systems.
